In Rhythm of the Road, we follow the Airoman.cc teams and riders during their road races. From classic one-day races and local circuits to challenging stage races. We take you through the peloton and give you a behind-the-scenes look at our athletes. The road season has begun. While some teams are still training camps in the mountains, races are already underway in various locations around the world. This includes India, where Tarteletto-Isorex has traveled to the Bajaj Pune Grand Tour. We spoke with an enthusiastic Siebe Bauwens, part of this fantastic team effort, who took us on a journey and told us what it's like to race in India.
An unforgettable experience for the team and riders
This year's cycling season kicked off in a special place: India. For the riders, this meant not only an early start to the season, but also a unique experience they'll remember for a long time. Motivation was high from day one. Everyone on the team was well prepared and really looking forward to opening the season on a high note.
What immediately stood out during the races in India was the exceptional organization. "The courses were in perfect condition, with newly paved and immaculate roads. Everything surrounding the race was perfectly arranged: from comfortable hotels to police escorts who ensured the safety and security of the riders."
But what truly made these races special was the crowd. The Indian residents and supporters showed an unprecedented presence and enthusiasm. They cheered on all the riders, regardless of their position in the race. "During the final stage, an estimated 2.5 million spectators lined the roadside." An impressive experience for all the riders.
Sporting success gives confidence
From a sporting perspective, the team can look back on a very successful race. The absolute highlight was undoubtedly third place in the general classification. A result that underscores the hard work and strong teamwork within the team. "The riders are going above and beyond to defend the classification, and the team atmosphere is excellent. That confidence provides a solid foundation for the rest of the season."
With this strong start to the season, the team is looking ahead with confidence. The goal for the upcoming season is clear: "To be seen as much as possible in the big races and compete for good rankings." With their current form, team spirit, and professional support, there's undoubtedly more great results to come.
New collaboration with Airoman
This season, the team is riding with Airoman accessories, a partnership that has already been received very positively. "Both the socks and the other accessories are top quality." Now that the team has access to the Airoman Evo line, the riders are wearing the fastest Airo aero socks and overshoes in the range!
